I was born in the United States shortly after my parents immigrated from Ukraine. I grew up in Washington State and studied creative writing at Gonzaga University. After earning my MFA from the Ohio State University, I taught creative writing at the Ukrainian Catholic University as a Fulbright Fellow in Lviv, Ukraine. I now live in South Bend, Indiana, with my partner and family.
